Modern Hong Kong depicts photos of skyscrapers and modern architecture even as older districts face radical facelift, threatening to erase part of a rich past.

Thankfully, even only through photos, we relive the chaotic 50s when influx of Chinese refugees from the mainland settled in Hong Kong under the British conquest after World War 2. Among those was Ho Fan, who arrived from Shanghai in 1949.
